Carlo Acutis The Computer Savvy Saint

Carlo Acutis: The Computer-Savvy Saint

Subtitle: A young Italian teenager who used his programming skills to promote the Catholic faith.

Introduction:

Imagine a young, tech-savvy teenager who uses his programming skills not for personal gain, but for sharing the love of God.

That's the story of Carlo Acutis, an Italian student born in 1991 who became known as the "patron saint of the internet." From a young age, Carlo had a passion for computers, but he also had a deep faith in God. He used his skills to create websites and presentations that shared his love of the Eucharist and the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Carlo died of leukemia in 2006 at the age of 15. In 2020, he was beatified by the Catholic Church, making him the first person to be beatified for his use of the internet.

Carlo's story is an inspiring example of how we can all use our talents to make a positive impact on the world. He is a reminder that even young people can make a difference.
