Thomas Tuchel appointed as FC Bayern head coach
Bayern Munich have announced that Thomas Tuchel will become the record Bundesliga champions' new coach after the club parted ways with Julian Nagelsmann on 23rd March 2023.
The 49-year-old has signed a contract with the German record champions until 30th June 2024 and will take over the reins on 1st July 2023.
Tuchel has been out of work since he was sacked by Chelsea in September 2022, having led the Blues to Champions League glory in 2021.
The German coach has a wealth of experience in the Bundesliga, having previously coached Mainz 05 and Borussia Dortmund. He also had a brief spell in charge of Paris Saint-Germain, winning the Ligue 1 title in 2020.
Tuchel's appointment is a coup for Bayern Munich, who are looking to regain the Bundesliga title after losing out to Borussia Dortmund last season.
